Today for Project 64, we made Haunted Houses! During this time, we focus on pencil and crayon grip, stamina, and following directions. Look at how AWESOME these drawings are!

STEM Challenge: Candy Corn Edition
Today, we split the class into 2 groups. While one group cooked pumpkin bread, the other was given a STEM challenge. Their challenge was to build a tower of candy corn while only using a small bead of playdoh! It was harder than it looked... Mrs. Shira flipped over a number and that's how many candy corns they had to use. Enjoy the photos!
Rotting Pumpkin
After reading the book Pumpkin Jack, we focused on the lifecycle of a pumpkin. The author went into details about what a rotting pumpkin looks like-- so we decided to observe our own rotting pumpkin! It is very scientific!

We Cooked Pumpkin Bread!
To wrap up our pumpkin unit, we made pumpkin bread! It will take 2 days. On Thursday, we cooked the pumpkin in the crock pot all day to make the meat soft.
We scooped the meat into a bowl and let it sit in the fridge over night. On Friday, we mixed, cooked, and ate! Take a look at our pictures of the day!
Almost everyone liked it!

3rd Grade Technology Helpers!
On Friday, we explored the computer lab! Our class was so excited to finally get on a computer. It will take time and a ton of practice for our class to get used to having a login and password, but we will get there! For now, I asked Mrs. Noake's 3rd graders to help us along. Take a look!
We are looking forward to next time! Thank you, Third Graders!

Our trip to Schwallier's Country Basket!
Thank you to all the parents who joined us on this fun-filled day! We got to pick an apple, have a treat, take home a pumpkin, slide down the big barn slide, and hold the baby animals! Enjoy our pictures of the day!
Thank you, Mr. Karel, for stopping by!
