The 100th Day of School!

Happy 100's Day! We had tons of fun, and spent a lot of time counting to 100 by ones and 10's!

We made 100's Day trail mix

Made a necklace out of 100 fruit loops

We played with 100 cups

Made numbers out of Playdoh

Graphed shapes

And we even read a story called Pigs in Hidding.  We then discovered that 100 pigs were Hidding in our room! It was our job to find them all, and put them on our grid!

Eventually, the class found all 100 pigs!  Whew!

The Pan Balance

We learned about the Pan Balance during our math block! Once we explored weight using the scale, we turned bodies into scales!  Which amount felt heavier?

Word Work!

We have enough words were we can make simple sentences!  I grabbed some words off of the board, formed a sentence, and the students had to finish the sentence with words of their choice.  What a great activity for oral language, reading, and writing!  You can do this at home, too!
