The Paper Bag Princess

We have spent a couple weeks reading and learning about a classroom-favorite author-- Robert Munsch!  We loved his website, and we even got to hear Robert Munsch read his own stories.  Check it out at www.robertmunsch.com:

We wrapped up our author study with The Paper Bag Princess.  We created a story board after talking about the characters, setting, and timeline of events. We practiced retelling the story!  

O'Seamus the Leprechaun!

What a month of March it has been! Meet O'Seamus-- I'm sure you've heard all about him by now.  He's been responsible for tipping over chairs, mixing up pencil boxes, moving around my calendar numbers, and so much more!  We just couldn't take it anymore.... The traps are set!

Lucky Charms Math!

Today, we sorted the best part of Lucky Charms cereal... The marshmallows!! We worked with our learning buddies to sort and solve addition number sentences.  Enjoy the photos!

How To books

We have been working hard at creating our How To books!  Today, after a week of brainstorming and drafting what we know how to do, it was time to act it out to make sure out steps were accurate.  This was so much fun! Just watch B tell C how to figure skate:
